CASE STUDY (SPAIN)

The Challenge

The target of this Patient Support Program (PSP) is to provide education and support through a telephone service to HCPs and patients with severe asthma in treatment with Client´s product to discuss certain aspects related to the disease.

Our Solution

Provide support by a clinical educator team, trained in the pathology, through a call center:

  • Follow-up and reminder calls for dose administration to patients included in the PSP who carry out self-administration.
  • Coaching calls to patients included in the PSP, both in self-administration and in clinical administration.
  • Registration of HCPs and patients of the PSP on the Inizio Engage web and telemedicine platforms, and resolution of doubts about their access.
  • Material shipment.
  • Management and resolution of reactive consultations that are received through the call center.

The Results

Since the beginning of the project in October 2019 we have enrolled 400 HCPs, 150 sites and >1000 patients.

Only 18% of 1100 patients have dropped out mostly due to a switch in treatment indicated by their doctor.

We started with 0.5 FTE in 2019 but now, due to the increase of patients, functions and SLA, we have 4 Inizio Engage nurses just for this service.

  • 95% of the patients considered the follow-up/coaching calls very interesting and helpful.
  • 86% of the patients would recommend this service 100%.
  • 71% of the HCPs would recommend this service 100%.
