Case Study (US)

The Challenge

Recruit and manage a ‘non-traditional’ MSL hybrid role, the Patient Diagnosis Liaison (PDL), a subtype of MSL that is credentialed and does a specific function of disease state education and identifying patients with rare forms of bone disease.

A PDL must have the ‘cold calling’ ability of commercial sales while inspiring HCPs to diagnose rare diseases based on educational awareness and further genetic testing.

Integrating a contract PDL team (10+) into the existing landscape providing fluidity within an existing team of 50+ PDLs.

Our Solution

Collaboratively work with PDL regional managers in defining the ideal candidate, an experienced educator in rare disease with a competitive drive for results-driven metrics.

Recruiting efforts yielded a rapid deployment of ten PDLs to integrate into a training program and subsequently provide administrative oversight to ensure continuity.

Consistent communication to Inizio Engage PDL team in relaying critical team metrics enabled a seamless transition for contract team into existing client PDL national team.

The Results

First wave of five PDLs were recruited and field ready within two months. After that, responded to PDL vacancies efficiently, recruited and trained within a month.
