In Detail

The Challenge

Following the acquisition of a European rare disease portfolio, the acquiring organization needed to transfer responsibility for Medical Affairs across Germany and Italy without disrupting ongoing scientific engagement or established stakeholder relationships.

The priority was not simply to retain resource. It was to preserve trusted stakeholder relationships, local market expertise and continuity of scientific exchange throughout the organizational transition.

Our Solution

Having already recruited, deployed and managed the original MSL program, Inizio Engage was uniquely positioned to support the transition.

Working closely with the acquiring organization, we successfully transferred experienced MSLs into the new Medical Affairs structure while preserving established stakeholder relationships, local market knowledge and scientific expertise.

Because the program was already operating under Inizio Engage management, the transition could be delivered with minimal disruption to ongoing field medical activities.

The Results

  • Experienced MSLs successfully transitioned into the acquiring organization
  • Continuity of scientific engagement maintained throughout the transition
  • Local market knowledge and established stakeholder relationships preserved
  • Minimal disruption to Medical Affairs activities during organizational change

Why Inizio Engage

Mergers and acquisitions don’t just transfer products. They also transfer scientific relationships, local market knowledge and ongoing Medical Affairs responsibilities. Maintaining continuity during this transition helps preserve stakeholder confidence while reducing disruption to scientific engagement.

By combining program governance, experienced field medical professionals and established local market knowledge, Inizio Engage helped ensure continuity throughout a complex European Medical Affairs transition, enabling the client to maintain scientific engagement while implementing its new organizational structure.
